 Slide.Show for Silverlight

27. June 2008

While dinking around on the web tonight I came across a really nice slide show built with Microsoft Silverlight called "Slide.Show".  It's an open source project by Vertigo. I checked out the samples and really liked what I saw. Since I have been looking for a photo gallery solution for my blog, I thought I'd try it.

In less than half an hour I set up this blog with Slide.Show. It pulls photos from my Flickr account. Check it out. It requires Silverlight so if you haven't downloaded it yet, you will need to. The configuration I am using is one that comes with the download, but it can be set up many different ways.

Pretty nice IMO, and it's free! The Visual Studio 2008 project is downloadable from CodePlex here. If you are running an IIS Server and are looking for a quality slide show for your site check it out!
