I believe it was in July I posted on my old blog at WordPress that has since been banned, about my goal to attain $10k a month in online profits. This is my little update on that goal.
To be honest so far I have not come close to achieveing my $10k a month goal. At the time I set the goal I was taking in about $1,000 a month. At this point I have only inched forward to about $1,200. The blame falls squarely on myself. I set the goal, then quickly lost focus. What I failed to do was develop a clear strategy to expand my empire. I love calling it that too - my EMPIRE. Feels good!
Looking back on my successful online money making projects, I realized they all had one thing in common. STRATEGY. With each of my successes, I now realize that I had sat down and came up with a very clear, well thought-out strategy to achieve my goal. One goal was to increase my Adsense income, another, to convert a particular CPA offer. With each project I thought out precisely what I was going to do, budgeted for it, researched it, and most importantly, I executed my plan precisely as I had planned to do.
Now, since then, I have been doing the opposite. I have launched PPC campaigns pratically on a whim, and I have also taken on too many projects at once, spreading my resources (mostly my tme) WAY to thin. So now is the time for me to cut back, and re-strategize. I'm going back to the things that I know work, the strategies, techniques and style of thinking that have proven successful in the past. Why did I abandon them so easily? I dunno. All I can do now is be glad I finally realized my mistakes, and get back on track as quickly as possible.
