HUGE change for Adsense Publishers

16. November 2007

I just read on the Official Adwords Blog that the clickable area on Adsense ads is going to be reduced significantly. Now only the title and the url portion of the ads will be clickable. Wow, this is pretty significant. In the coming days, weeks all Adsense publishers will no doubt see reduced CTR on their Adsense ads and reduced Adsense income. The publishers most affected by this will probably be people still doing arbitrage.

I have been doing a certain kind of arbitrage for months and I may have to rethink what I am doing once I get a chance to see how the newly reduced clickable area affects my stats (read $$$). I've debated about whether or not to post the technique I use too.  I have not ever heard or read of anyone else doing arbitrage the way I do it. I will say that I use both Adwords and Adsense together to make money! Something many say is impossible, but let me tell you, it is possible! I've been doing it for quite some time. I only hope this new chnage doesn't affect my technique too much, though it might. Time will tell.
