Adcenter Search Marketing Guide

2. February 2008

When I opened my Project Gatineau account with Microsoft I had to sign up for a second Microsoft Adcenter account. It was kind of a pain, especially considering all my PPC campaigns that I wanted to track with Gatineau are in my other account!  But in doing so, I got this nice little search marketing guide from them today:

I think it's a pretty good idea on their part, to send this to new account holders.  Yes, there are tons of online resources but for those just signing up for an account to start search marketing,  tons of reources can be very overwhelming. Reading through the guide Microsoft has done a great job of highlighting the key points required to launch a successful PPC campaign. It's a very well written, clear, concise guide to setting up Adcenter campaigns (as well as on other engines). Each page of the guide has a different URL you can go to to get more information about the topic on that page. There's also a card inside listing phone numbers, business hours, urls, and other contact information should you need to get a hold of them.

Adcenter has always been my favorite PPC engine. I launched my first ever affiliate PPC campaign on Microsoft about a year ago, and haven't looked back. Their ROI continues to outpace my matching campaigns on Yahoo and Google. I can't get the same volume of traffic with Adcenter, but that's ok, because ROI is what matters.
